Street Photography: Sabang Community in Puerto Galera

After an exhilarating (and exhausting) scuba dive experience in Sabang Beach, I walked around the streets of Sabang to see more of the place.

Sabang is a small community in Puerto Galera, and is a hot destination to a lot of foreign and local tourists and divers. The place is known for a lot of beautiful dive spots.

The community has been reaping a lot of good dollar earnings from influx foreign tourists in the recent years. Fishing, however, is still one of the most important sources of income for some of the locals.

It's generally a peaceful community. People are busy in their own quiet ways.

If there's someone who should enjoy the beach more than anyone else, it's the Sabang children.

The people of Sabang, especially those with Mangyan roots, are generally nice - their smiles are genuine, they are very hospitable, and they value their heritage through the crafts that they create and sell.

Sabang Beach is located in Puerto Galera, Orietal Mindoro, Philippines.
It can be reached by boat from Batangas Pier and travel time takes roughly around 45 minutes.
